A History of Urban Planning

A History of Urban Planning is a book that tells the story of the most important planners and architects of the 20 century while covering a range of subjects that have shaped the modern city through, photography, infographics, and illustration. A masters project developed under instructor Jennifer Sterling at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, the book gives context for the problems that face large urban areas while looking ahead to solutions for the future.

The book was designed to tell the story of the most important urban innovators of the last 100 years and the impact they’ve made on modern city landscapes.
